DOLL HAIR RE-ROOT

Hi everyone!~

I've already made a human hair wig for one of my dolls and rerooted one of my other dolls so I'm doing it a second time but thought I'd share with you all. It has been done by a lot of doll enthusiasts but a lot of people don't know this so I'm sharing it :)

Chic Doll from thrift store
that I'm re-rooting

You will need:

Doll
Tweezers
Scissors
Hot Glue or Tacky Glue(I'm using Fabri-Tac)
Doll Hair(Purchase online of your choice - I'm using human hair I bought from Amazon)
Hair Rerooting tool or needle
(you can make your own by using exacto knife and replacing the blade with a sewing needle - snip part of the hole to where it has two prongs with the pliers and put the pointy end where the slit is and tighten it)
Pliers

Step 1. Remove Doll Head (run it under hot water to soften the vinyl or else you will break the neck connector or blow hair dryer on it.)

Step 2. Using the scissors, cut as much hair off as possible of doll head, the remaining will come out through the neck.

Step 3. Use the tweezers to put the hair out from inside the head.

Step 4. Grab your rerooting tool and a few strands of hair and place the needle in the center of the strand enough for a hole and either lay it over the hole and push through or put it on it and then push it through a hole.

Step 5. Do this all over until there are no more holes.

Step 6. Lastly, take your hot glue or fabritac(C) and squeeze into the head and cover all the hair inside so when you brush it it does not come out because it will. Let dry 24hrs; if using tacky glue.

Hope this was helpful. I will add pictures along the way so stay in touch soon. Thanks for visiting!!!
